A Sleepy Little Beach Town

Plettenberg Bay is a beach town on the eastern coast of South
Africa, approximately six and a half hours drive from Cape Town.
Kate's mom grew up going to "Plett" during her summer
holidays and eventually her parents built a summer cottage
there, which they named "The Oyster Shell."

Popop retired to Plett several years ago which has been a treat
for the Petrie family because it meant every time we visited South
Africa, we also were able to visit this beautiful and very nostalgic
place for Kate's mom.  It's a popular vacation destination for
South Africans and now people from all over the world - when
you look at the pictures you'll probably understand why.

There isn't a lot at Plett, but it did have an "Internet Cafe" which is
actually a "beachy" bar.
