Birthday Bounce, Bounce, Bounce!

This year, rather than having a party at home with our friends,
we decided to do as his pals have been doing at school and
have a party with all his little classmates at a "kid friendly"
place.

We chose "Jump Zone" - which is essentially a huge room in
which they have 6 bounce houses and have partitioned off 4
"party rooms."  The place is part of a much larger complex -
the other end of which houses the swim school that Sawyer
and his pal Peyton go to.

The party was every bit as much fun as we had hoped.  They
bounced for an hour and twenty minutes.  There wasn't a
bored face in the lot - whether it be parents or kids.  The
parents got a chance to visit and the kids just run all over and
don't require supervision - it's great.

Afterward, everyone went back into a party room and sang
Happy Birthday to Sawyer - do see the video, it's adorable.
Our little guy could not have been more thrilled by the
attention and waited very patiently until the song was over
before he tried to blow out his candles - which were too far
away - Daddy to the rescue!

Of course the theme was hockey (could it have been anything
else?) So instead of a cake we got an air hockey table on
which we put "hockey pucks" we'd made from brownies. We
were surprised to learn how many kids were happy there
was no frosting! We obviously had themed
goodie-bags/boxes - see below.

The attendees from his class included Peyton, Ian, Liam,
Evan, Bennett, Nolan, Jett, Holden, Kate, Amber, Daisy, Drew
and his brother Jameson.
