It Was Still Smokey From The Fires

This year we took our favorite holiday and ventured to the little
town of Colorado Springs, CO.  Don't be fooled by the name,
it's a total desert-of-a-place and even dryer after this year's
horrible fires. However, we saw mostly the beautiful part of the
terrain and managed to take in not just a train ride to Pike's
Peak (the inspiration for the song "America The Beautiful"), but
we toured of the Garden Of The Gods, the Royal Gorge, Seven
Falls and even the Air Force Academy but managed to squeeze
in a very entertaining minor league baseball game. Our
sentimental time of year did not disappoint!
