Chicago's "Front Yard"

Millennium Park, Grant Park and Navy Pier are great Chicago
resources which are located on Lake Michigan. We hiked both
parks, walked along the shoreline and explored Navy Pier.

Millennium Park is home to a bean-shaped sculpture by British
artist Anish Kapoor and a dynamic Frank Gehry-designed music
pavilion. The adjoining Grant Park is home to the Museum
Campus, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the ornate 1927
Buckingham Fountain.

Cold Enough For Outdoor Ice Skating
We had fun watching the ice skaters. Although
it was cold, there was not too much wind.
Brent's Artsy Shot
Brent captures a self portrait in the reflection
of the giant bean sculpture. He was unable to
hide the camera from the shot though.
Windblown Look
This music pavilion was designed to look like the roof is
being blown off by the infamous Chicago winds.
Music Pavilion
The front part of this pavilion has seating
while the rest is open lawn. It reminded us of
the Hollywood Bowl.
The Face
This odd modern sculpture was kind of fun to
watch as it changed.
